Default TEST - of a new photo hosting site

I'm trying out some new photo hosting sites since Photobucket has stopped hosting for posting on forums.

1st candidate:
Postimage.org:

Is no longer a candidate.
I have deleted the link to the pic I had uploaded to the PostImage site. See my last post for the reason.

I will be adding to this as I find more possible hosting sites that might work for posting pics in my posts here.

I get no ads with the display of the photos in all combinations of being logged in or not being logged in for the image site and/or the forum when using either of my PCs.

How are the ads being shown to you?

I haven't tried to upload more than a single image yet. I always upload from my PC after converting to JPEG and reducing the size of the photo. I don't post 24MP pics online. I'll check it out.

I also am disapointed with Photobucket and I'm sure they don't care.
So, I'm not uploading any more photos there unyil they change their policy.
Now I'm using postimage until they do the same.

Banner at the top, same as the Orchid Board and larger ads below. I don't mind that so much as the risque ones.

My apology Dolly.
When I access the pics from my home IP, even if I'm not logged into the PostImage site, I get no ads. The same happens even if I switch computers or browsers.
But, if I change my IP by using a VPN to change my location to Los Angeles, or elsewhere, I then get the ads added to the displayed photo.

It looks to me as if they're trying to hide from me the fact that they're adding sleazy ads to my displayed photos.

Many people shake their heads thinking that I'm a bit weird in my obsession with online privacy, having very little trust in things online. PostImage is a prime example of just how little you can trust anything on line, even if it is a very mild example.

Thanks gal.
I will continue my search for a decent 3rd party photo hosting site. I hope I can find one.

Voyger, I may be overly sensitive to these things, but I agree with you completely about privacy. The Hun house is relatively simple compared to others.

I don't see any ads in your posted images. The ads on photobucket though...they are awful!

I also will be switching from them...my understanding is that they want an exorbitant amount of money for third party hosting. Admittedly, I only glanced at the info very briefly because I haven't used it much in over a year...but it appears they require the Plus500 acct to post on forums. I'm not about to pay THAT annual fee.

I can still access all my pics but everything I've posted over the past 9 years is now not showing in those posts. Very frustrating!
