Thank you so much for your advice. I love this little Hoya not only for its looks, but because it was my daughters.

It's also easy to root from cuttings. This is a way to have multiple plants in case the first dies. The easiest way is to layer them. When a stem gets longer, curve it back to the soil in the pot, and nestle a leaf node on the soil. Hold it down with a rock or a bent pin. After it roots you can pot it up separately.

Hmm. Interesting. When I'm feeling more adventurous maybe I will try that!

This is to ES. That little hoya that I had written or posted about a month or two back is blooming its little head off. My entire bedroom and hallway is scented with the perfume from this plant. I'm having trouble finding where photos go on my phone but if I can get a pic sent here I will do so.

Good info. I have mine in just plane old potting soil. So far it's going gang busters. When I re-pot perhaps I should put it in something else. Not sure as mine dry's out just fine. I rooted it in water. Mine is just the plane one nothing fancy. It came from my neighbor that I use to take care of. After she passed away I re-potted it and started about 4 new plants. I have a small trellis I wind it around.

I'm not sure where the thread went but this post is specifically to ES. I mentioned yesterday that I would send a picture of my other Hoya the larger one that I thought was a hoya carnosa. You had mentioned the smaller one that is in my room and now blooming was a horia carnosa and not a nummrealia. I know that that is spelled wrong. So anyway here's a picture of my larger one. It is variegated and its leaves are quite large

I don't know why the pictures always come out sideways. It's frustrating.

There are a lot of carnosa variants and hybrids. This variegated one is a recognized clone but I can't remember the name right now.

It doesn't look anything like my small hoya. the leaves are very very large I'm not sure if the picture shows that. My small one has leaves that are maybe an inch long if that. and their texture is almost kind of like velvet, whereas the large one has very slick waxy leaves. I have this large one hanging in my staircase beneath a skylight. It really doesn't get enough light to bloom unfortunately, but it's growing like crazy. It's climbing up the wall and I have hooks supporting the vines. At any rate I guess the name isn't all that important, other than steering me in the right direction in regards to how to care for these. But I seem to be doing pretty well...
