Default Look what's lurking in my plants!

I've been finding several insect predators using my orchids as hunting grounds lately.

Here's a praying mantis hanging out in one of my phals. He blended right in with the stem, so I almost missed him!

And here's an assassin bug hiding in my ascocenda bloom. He's been there for weeks, guarding the buds and blooms, and always has a fly in his mouth when I spot him.

Anyone else find any hidden beauties protecting your orchids lately?

Sweet!
I get lots of spiders, and occasional frogs and small lizards.

I wish we had lizards here! Frogs are my orchids' best protectors. They eat the slugs and snails. Here's a tiny one guarding one of my phals.

And the mantis finally came out to show off before flitting away somewhere.

Ooof... pardon the flower fungus spots. This orchid was out during a few evening rains.

Default Tree-frog visitor

Here are a few pictures of my surprise visitor!

Surprise visitor! This Grey Tree-frog was hiding in the humidity tray for my Masde. This has always been indoors so I am not certain how he found his way into my room.
