Default Pollinate At Your Own Peril!

First temperate Drosera flower of the season, a D. filiformis. Lest you think the peril referred to in title of this thread is the plant itself, look closely directly below the flower in my admittedly crappy pic. The plant is the least of a potential pollinator's worries:

We get the little crab spiders waiting in the flowers. I always move them. I need my pollinators for the rest of the garden (currently have nut trees in bloom).

I make it a point to collect a mantis egg case each year on my late season ramblings to transplant into my yard. This season I've seen at least a dozen, and they're starting to get big!
