What can I say I'm a country girl...

Country Boy - Country Girl, whatever You get the drift here, right? Shovel snow or not, you're bailing from the land of sun and snowbunnies. That's what I was getting to. I still can't figure out why. But then, I'm an old fart who would live in FLAUSA if I were able (the rest of my family lives in Tampa area.)

Florida news is outrageous! Male
Default I would like to have your weather

but that is the extent of it. My grandfather lived in Kissimmee/Orlando area BEFORE Disney. I still have fond memories of coming to Florida and fishing when I was a kid. I did manage to go back as an adult and was stunned at the difference, but then, I am stunned at the difference between people then and now. It's not just where you are living, it's also people.

5 years ago i was in New Zealand and was watching crime stoppers!

The lead top story was about a cow napping! Ok seriously it was 6 cows but the police looked dead serious

I kid you not!

Joann, You just need to get out of the city in Florida and hit the Florida countryside. I live near Brooksville, on 15 acres of land, a mile off of a main road...After moving here 15 years ago, I would never move back to the city!
I also hate being cold, so I'd never survive in the cold North, to me the snow country is a nice place to visit, but I'd never live there...

Hi Laura,

My husband and I just purchased 5 acres in southern Colorado not ski resort country but closer to my old home… I can’t wait to get out of here…!!! yes its much better in the country then the city that I agree…I’ve been trying to ignore the news but it’s a little hard when you have to go to work or send your kids out to school hearing about the latest attempt at someone trying to pick-up kids at the bus stop or places of work being robbed….a convenience store next to the building where I worked this last fall was robbed a few hours after I left from work the criminals ran across my parking area an attempted to get into a fellow co workers car for an escape…I work evenings and nights so it’s a little hard not to think about the serial killer running loose…
