If you're like me and like catching deals
Check out stores like Tj maxx and Marshall's. You can also check tjmaxx.com. Their online inventory is a little different than in store. (Some products online are in store, some aren't. Some products in store aren't online either.)

I recently got 2 pairs of winter boots from Marshall's in store I think they're rated -40 °f but not sure.
One of them is waterproof suede and other is waterproof man made. I didn't pick out "Columbia" but they had them there. I think mine are KHUMBA.
In this case I wasn't searching for a specific brand, just something that works.

I've seen some heavy duty winter boots and some fashionable, so it just depends on the store inventory.
**I'm not sure what the men's shoes there are like, only women's btw.

No-Pro-mwa, thank you for the advice! Yeah, I'll probably try the Sorels and the Kamiks out. There are just so many boots out there, I'm afraid I'm going to have to make a huge Zappos order!

Jenn4a, I do like catching deals, but my goodness do those stores freak me out. I just hate how they're organized. They just seem so...scattered and tumultuous. Forgot they had websites though, so I'll have to check them out!

I'm still just hoping and praying we get zero snow accumulation here because I can't stand the sight of snow after last winter.
