Very thick smoke from a controlled burn combined with very thick fog led to disaster. The last I heard there were a total of 70 cars involved in accidents along a 14 mile stretch of I-4. The main one was a 50 car pile-up and the other 20 were scattered around in smaller crashes. Death toll so far is 4. What a nightmare...and it's on a major roadway so I'm very concerned about anybody who may have been traveling through there.
They've issued a Highway Advisory Alert because with I-4 being shut down for who-knows-how-long, all of the other roads will be getting the overflow.
I hope all of our friends and their families are okay.
