Echo and Stress Test, why Barefoot??
Hi guys. I have to vent.
I just a got an Echocardiogram and Stresstest done on me. Everything is fine. All tests show normal.
But the doctor and nurse made me use the treadmill for the stress test barefoot. The surface was rough, and before I felt any pain, I had an open wound on the sole of my foot from the friction of the treadmill. Its nasty.
Why do they make you go barefoot on such a rough surface?
Sincerely,
-In pain.

Having had about 8 of those, they always told me to wear sweat pants and snicker's. I would definitely be upset to if I got a blister. ouch! Glad to hear your test are good!!
Moleskin is a good way to ease the pain when you walk

stress = pain. Plain and simple.
Haven't you heard: There's no gain without pain?

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

What I should have said is: "I don't like stress tests. They're too stressful!"

Holy cr*p! Now that I know other people are told to wear shoes, I am totally tee'd off! My feet hurt.

Perhaps you should find out where this person lives that told you to go barefoot and send them a topiary ... I hear gardening relieves stress.

Sorry to hear you had to go through that. I was fortunate enough (all depends on the perspective I guess) to not have to do one of those due to other health issues and got the "shot" that simulated a rapid heart beat after a jog.
