Default Gloxinia, florist's Gloxinia?

Hi all,

Here is a Gloxinia I purchased last fall. It was in flower when I got it and then it went dormant for a little while. I thought it was dieing but then the folks here told me to try to overwinter it. Here are the results.

Looks very nice! I'm curious, did it lose all its leaves during dormancy? Did you keep it in the light and potted, just letting it go dry and cool maybe?

Good job. Didn't know that Gloxinias are perennial.

Hi, Thanks for the comments. I kept it lightly moist, but I remember that there was one week when I let it get real dry. After that I decided not to let it get to dry, and eventually it grew back. Its still in bloom by the way.

Good job! It looks like it even bloomed slightly heavier than before

I love these! great color and the smooth velvety texture of the petals.

My favorites are the ones with white edge. It gives almost glowing effect.
