I like to read your guy’s signatures and this morning I was looking at Ramon’s, “kavanaru” and I saw he had put Blackle - Energy Saving Search and I had to go and check it out. Very interesting an all black Google. Of course I’m always the last one to know….
Cool, isn't it? They still need to improve it a bit and bring it to the same level as the standard google, but I think it is a great idea... so, let's blackle...
We believe that there is value in the concept because even if the energy savings are small, they all add up. Secondly we feel that seeing Blackle every time we load our web browser reminds us that we need to keep taking small steps to save energy.
Great idea... and the science is sound as far as LCD monitors go, as you aren't using energy to excite the crystals in the display if its black.
