True! drum kit sounds are incredibly appealing. Absolutely love the clarity and power in sample drum kits. Do you output the sound through powerful speakers?

yeah, turning knobs can get tedious, much like micro analyzing orchids! takes the fun out of it real quick...
and well, being that we are apartment dwellers, ive geared my studio towards headphone monitoring. thru this ive found that with high quality (yet expensive) phones, the nuances of sound are soooo much better. and with my main gig, which is me on bass and my buddy with electronic music, we’ve come to rely on headphones to really hear what we are doing. this is a problem tho, because we want /are trying to line up a live set or two, and we are worried that the sound won’t translate well to a room. he is doing all the post processing and trying to emulate more of a room so we can tailor the sound more. but in his flat, with a family and neighbors, we just don’t have the option to turn it up to 11!
are you using phones as well? it for sure took some getting used to for me....
i meant to ask also if you collaborate with anyone? it’s so easy now with the cloud.
