Christmas vacation
Just curious what some of you are doing for the holidays... I want to jump out for a week somewhere south, to the Caribbean, but can't find any decent deals... do you guys have any favourite sites that you use ? Any tips or suggestions?

We got a pretty nice deal at the Still Plantation and Beach Resort in Soufriere, St. Lucia in 1997. We stayed on the beach overlooking Petit Piton. The Still Plantation and Beach Resort - Soufriere, St. Lucia, West Indies The Plantation is much cheaper, but no good views. Lots of Canadians go to St. Lucia. I highly recommend it.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Staying home for the holidays...hubby's sisters are coming down...out to dinner on Christmas Eve and I'll be cooking Christmas Day...
MY Christmas bonanza will be in January when I hit the WOC!!!

My in-laws are coming to stay with us for Christmas. However, I'm already planning a trip for January, if I can convince my husband!  I want to go to Jersey and see the Eric Young Orchid Foundation in all its glory.

Staying home and fixing
a nice meal for Christmas Eve and something for Christmas Day with the wife's help. My brother and sister fixed dinner for Thanksgiving. Wish me luck finding sometyhing that everyone likes.  |

LOL Sue, Shak's not talking about OUR Jersey. 
We are headed to the SF Bay area and will spend Christmas with my parental units. They generally make me nuts, but I enjoy hanging out with my sis.
Marty for airfare check out Sidestep. They go out and compare rates published online. It's a huge timesaver and I have scored some great deals, most recently $304 rt/pp SFO to Cancun in March. I'm normally completely sick of winter by March and more than ready for some tropical beach time.
