Default hoya carnosa bloom

or are they blooms?

they are stars within a star within another star..they don't have the same fragrance as other Hoyas. its oddly waxy smelling. not offensive but not one you want to smell all the time

Gorgeous, I have one, but I just got it this summer, so I guess it is way too small for blooming yet:-)

The latter -- blooms.

I find that the scent can change depending upon the time of day. The strength of the scent can also vary -- evening seems to be when they are the most pungent. There is a fair amount of scent variation across different species. Some have no detectable fragrance at all.

Not necessarily. Unless yours was started from seed -- which is highly unlikely -- it was started from a cutting. As such, it depends in part on how mature the mother plant was. Most cuttings are taken from mature plants. So once the roots get established, and if conditions are right, it can still bloom even though it is a "small" plant.

I love these! Such charming little blooms! Mine has a honey-like fragrance - definitely more noticeable in the evening.

Really lovely!

My hoya looks a lot like this when it blooms but I don't know the species (or if it is a species). Wish I could get it to bloom again. I think I need to find a new spot for it as it's not getting enough light I think (but all the orchids are taking up the prime spots )

Very nice. Mine is more pinkish and has a strong pleasant scent most of the night and some of the day.

These are blooms.

Once it does, make sure not to cut off the flower stem. They re-bloom from the same spot time after time.
