Here are a few photos of the plants under my patio, some orchids some not. There are tonnes more but there is a limit to how many pics I'll bombard you with :P

Odontocidium 'hedge' up on top, hoyas, masdevellias, african violets and other bits underneath, it's a Dendrobium speciosum in the huge pot on the left.

Rather than posting heaps more pics you can see some of my garden here too: There's no place like home...
I haven't posted on that for ages though so it's changed a bit since then

Grew Sansevaria for many many years, never got flowers. Is it due to not enough light? I was wondering if just cycling the plant through a period of shorter days would work. Figured it never worked for me cause my living room lights were on for many hours after sunset.
Advise welcome.

Mine gets morning sun, blooms regularly. Can't say I like the fragrance. It's a monster, just repotted - over 5ft in pot. I had to prop it in the pot. I was surprised that the rooting system is not that deep.

I think that they probably also need a drop in temperature. Mine were on a windowsill when they bloomed. Too much light at night could also be a factor

Hey post photos here! We all love seeing them!

My pitcher plant wilted. I got nervous and read that they will wilt a bit when moved to a new home. Some say to fertilize some say not to. The one site said to use orchid fert or seaweed. I mixed a small dilution of both very weak and watered him well. Within a day or two he looked better! I feel so much better now! I was going to re-pot him as he seems a bit large for the pot, but I don't want to go from a 4" pot to an 8" and I can't find any hanging pots this time of year. The only ones I can find are the orchid baskets. I'll have to keep looking.

Everyone here has such cool rare plants! It's great to see them all! Mine seem so common now!

Here are some of my plants from this year. They have gotten big enough to divide almost all of them, so with me not working and us not having much money dividing will be a great way of enlarging the gardens. I'm hoping to pre-order a bunch of stuff before I can't afford to.

This one is a bit of a joke, we got a few later then normal frosts for our area and we had to drag everything inside for the nights for a week.

This is the shade part of our deck, which runs the full length of the house.

and here is the sunny spot

Here is the raised beds that our veggies grow in. We have them 12" so I don't have to bend down to weed. With my bad health this helps a lot! I sit on one bed and weed in another.

and here's one days harvest from the veggies!

WOW!!! Nice pics gardengirl! I myself am starting to harvest some of my spices and crops as well!

Hoya seems to be a hard plant to care for indoors. I have mine in a hanging basket outside (it's not even hanging). Two years ago when I got it, it seemed to always try to commit self herbicide.

UPDATE!!!!!!
I got a small 6 inch tall green tea bush and a galangal plant from rosemead gardens yesterday!
Any advice on the tea? I killed one already and I'm not willing to commit inhumane herbicide again (yes I consider herbicide as an action). I also picked up a few terrarium plants including a maiden's hair fern (which I also commited herbicide on......TWICE) and an earth star. I will post pictures of the plants afterward.

In the meantime, I will be seeing foward to getting more tropical herbs to expand my small and scattered-around-the-house collection.
