Default Plants and Blooms of the 2012 season

I wanted to share some of my garden pictures and thought I would start another thread like we had last year, where everyone can share their pictures of the spring and summer flowers. So come on everyone, how are the flowers doing in your area!

First my forsythia. I thought this was dead/dying after major root disturbance in 2010, but it finally seem to be recovering

Then my narcissus. Planted a load of these in the autumn and they are rewarding me well.

This last was actually a picture of the ladybird (ladybug as you call them in the USA) but I thought it went well with these other pics

And some other garden pics. I've been loving my garden this weekend, especially with the great weather we've
been having.

OK, these ones aren't plants, but ladybirds, bumble bees and spiders in the garden (or on one of my orchids in the case of the spider).

I miss ladybugs.
Here's the norm for the beginning of the dry season here.

Nice idea to restart this thread! Your garden looks so bright and cheerful with all those colors. And those crocus shots are GORGEOUS!! I heard from my mother that all the forsythias are blooming there as well, except that ours are quite massive, probably over 3m in all directions!

I'll have to go out to the botanical garden to see what's happening there. And soon it'll be time for my annual trip to Keukenhof gardens, over by Amsterdam. I'll have tons of pics after that!

Here's my contribution-Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. (brunfelsia sp.?) For some reason, the picture of the entire plant failed to download. The other pic is, of course, a wisteria. That is a last year's pic.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Y/T/T, the first day the flower is purple, the second day lilac and the third day white. I have never noticed the mottled flowers before. There are other varieties with different colors, too.

Hey Rosie, Glad you started this thread. I've been meaning to, but never got around to it.
Thus far this year in NYC, we have had a very early spring. Temperatures went up to the 70's last week and the week before, and our winter was very mild.
I noticed that we had Veronicas in bloom all winter, and about the beginning of march we had Lonicera fragrantisima in bloom.
About 2 1/2 weeks ago I noticed the Pieris japonica in bloom as well.
1 1/2 weeks ago the Magnolias and Cherry trees came into bloom. All of these blooms happened an entire month earlier than usual (I referenced my photos from years past for blooming times).

I also found some Chinodoxa forbesii (Scilla) in bloom and Stachyurus praecox
and Spirea thunbergii.

Also have seen Crocus about 1 month ago and Henbits and a few other weeds.
