Default Garden Flower ID

I'm really unfamiliar with garden flowers, can anyone help.

This is I think some sort of beardstongue (Scrhophulariaceae). Anyone have it?

I agree on the Genus, definitely looks like a Penstemon of some sort. Sorry I can't help more, I'm not too familiar with american plants.
