Default the passing of a great orchidairian

my much loved papa passed on monday morning in his sleep peacefully with family surrounding him, after a long and painful battle with cancer....he was a great man with many friends and much family....we all mourn his passing....he and my mother were married happily for 63 years, and they were still sweethearts....he loved life, playing bluegrass music, sailing his little boat, and inspecting the orchids....he was a great craftsman, who built banjos and other stringed instruments, as well as building the log house where we live and where he died....he never met a stranger, and always had time for helping others....i appreciate the prayers of you all here, and felt i had to commemorate his passing here, as he loved the orchids so....thank you all, nora

Nora, sorry to hear of his passing. It sounds as if he left you with lots of wonderful memories. Remember that he is still with you always, he is just finally free of his pain.
