i shoot nikon. and my lens wasnt the most expensive they have either. i paid around $850 for it. if i remember right

I think that's about what I paid for mine. The L series, however, run well over $1000.

there is some pretty pricey glass out there! mine is a nikkor, dont remember what series, but definitely not top of the line.

Buying lenses is more expensive than getting a good camera. Wish I could afford the top of the line, but that's out of the question.

Hi Ron, Don't know what the function of the growth on the bill is, maybe it's appealing if you're another pelican. The white pelican is mainly an inland bird. Here's a blurb from BirdWatcher's Digest.

true that! plus, if we spent everything on nice glass, there would be nothing left for orchids to photograph!
