Default Anyone want Selaginella kraussiana cuttings?

I just trimmed a bunch of Selaginella kraussiana from one of my terrariums.

I'll let 'em go for $1. Shipping is obviously not included in the price.

Please let me know soon, 'cause after 2 days, I'm throwing them out.

1st come 1st served.

Thats a pretty one. How do you keep it? Terrarium? I had no luck with Selaginellas, so Im not going to take any.

Selaginella kraussiana really takes off once they establish in a humid terrarium with plenty of moisture in the soil. It took about 1 month to get them to establish, and another month for them to get to the point where they needed trimming.

If they're grown outside a terrarium (which I've also done before), they can grow quickly as well, but they need a lot of water. Kinda strange for a plant that originated from South Africa. I wonder if these are stream side plants in the wild.

Right now the Selaginella kraussiana is the species I have cuttings of.

I also have Selaginella wildenowii in a couple tanks, but they're relatively slow growing. This species took 2 months to establish. The roots are fleshier and brittle on this species. No cuttings of Selaginella wildenowii yet though.

For those who don't know what Selaginella really are...

They are commonly called "Spike Mosses".

However...

These are not true mosses despite the common moniker given to them. True mosses are bryophytes. Bryophytes are non-vascular plants.

Selaginella spp. are fern relatives. Essentially these are "primitive ferns". From my understanding, these are the oldest forms of vascular plants still alive today.
