Saw this in the yard today, had to take a pic. The gardener had been hacking at this bush with an electric pruner for the last four years *gasp* he managed to turn it into a perfect solid cube (kind of impressive feat when you think about it). I never fussed with it before as we rent the place and it was here before us, but this winter I had had enough....I went at this overgrown, tightly entwined mess of a rose bush and cut er' back to the bloomers. Mucked out the center, sprayed judiciously for rust, and fed it. She's thanking me now, there are 15+ buds just like it about to burst open. And it has a REALLY strong fragrance!

Yes, it is a surprisingly pretty flower, smells great too. I never got to appreciate it much before now given it's previous care. Guess, I'll just have to take over from now on!
