Drunk birds or is a reflection of themselves in the glass and they are protecting there space. My father-in-law had to take out a front sliding window at his home due to peacocks attacking the window.

I can't say I have seen squirrels drunk before but have seen them buzzing on my brownies that I over cooked...best that I stay out of the kitchen ...and no the brownies did not consist of something that looked like parsley

That's a much better explaination of drunk birds Cheryl!
My non-drunk pet bird thinks his reflection is a mate unfortunately....and sometimes gets quite protective of his mirror

Are you sure that's from being drunk? I've seen birds go
at a car side mirror and a big spot light [shiny silver inside].

Well there you go.. don't some birds collect shiny things to take back to their nest or am I thinking of some kind of nursery tale?

The Bower Bird collects shiny things. There is one in particular that only collects blue objects. Anything blue gets picked up and taken to the nest/bower and used to decorate his, ahem... Pad, to impress the female.

I saw a documentary about this bird. It was so funny! One guy brought many different things to this bird and he (bird) became very angry and throw out from his place everything that was not blue.

I don't know, I believe it was called the Bower/Bauer Bird. SOmewhere in Indonesia or India, or somewhere over there.

I saw a show on the bower bird, very smart little guy.

Now that drunk squirrel video gives me an idea. If they're drunk they can't climb bird feeders, right? Do they like bear? Slugs do...wine perhaps?
