Default What new type of orchid is stuck on this tree in my backyard?

I was checking on my summer project plant Miltonia spectabilis when I happened to notice this stuck on a tree branch.

i may be wrong, perhaps another member could chime in, but i think that's a unique species of balloon you have growing on your tree there.

It's a BALLONIS GIGANTII. Needs very very warm air to fully flower.

I think the real problem is it appears to be a people-eater. Look closely at the first pic and you'll see several people desperately struggling and waving for help
