I'm starting to collect bromeliads and a few streptocarpus, of all things...
Outdoors, anything that has edible fruit.

I have a bromeliad, a couple of clivia's, a tuberous begonia, a fern and some succulents.
Succulents are cool.

I'm addicted to plants.  Inside, besides my 50+ orchids, I have 10 Christmas cactus of various colors (although I killed my yellow one last year so I need to replace it), about 4 different lipstick plants, and african violets. Outdoors, I grow anything and everything, though a majority of what I do is to attract butterflies/hummingbirds in the summer and then birds in the fall/winter. Now that I've moved, I have a fresh palate to work with  , so I'm excited for spring! |

Streptocarpus is like african violet. Same family. Different flowers though. Supposedly (supposedly...) they will work well in vivariums. I haven't tried it yet.

Mostly anything indoors or out. Indoors mostly heavier tropical green types (clivias, monstera , carnivorous plants, bird of paradise, antherium, etc) and I would like to grow a fig!
Outdoors I am particularily fond of plants that you don't usually associate with our climate (zone 3a) and mixed plantings of flower and edible plants (à la Disneyland).

Bonsai! Outdoors I grow mostly native plants: spruces, firs, maples, birches, and a vegetable garden. Indoors I grow ficuses and schefflera, jades, and some standard tropical foliage plants, ferns and african violets.

Up until recently, I had 50 "other" plants out on the lanai along with the 'chids. I've slowly been giving them away to friends because orchid real estate is at a premium!
I still have quite a few though...4 broms, 2 ferns, a hibiscus, a peperomia, a candycorn, a chenille, 2 potted palms, a Meyer lemon, a dwarf Bird-of-Paradise, a pothos, a scheff and a few miscellaneous that I can't come up with a name for. There are also 2 African Violets and a large cane-type plant (don't know the name) inside and too many to list for what's growing outside on the property. That's hubby's domain
