Oh Royal...I am so thrilled to hear from you!
Glad you and your family came through it well

I'm really worried about Lee...looks like he must've taken a pretty good hit.

Stay in touch

OK, it's around 10 am on day 3. Still no power. Water is back off. But on the bright side, the weather here is outstanding! Nice cool breezes make no AC bearable. In TX, no AC can make for pretty miserable nights. Last night I actually needed to get under the covers! We're so lucky. I think Houston is getting the same weather, so at least that's a plus for them. It may be weeks before they get the essentials back in place. My brother is down there too. Young and brave, he weathered the storm. He's safe but without a car-charger for his phone so communication isn't good.

Like I said, we really lucked out as far as damage goes. Friends of ours (with a month old baby) had their electric meter and breaker box completely ripped off of the house. They also lost a shed and a few bricks off of the chimney. They're safe though.

It was crazy here - we were hit hard. But Galveston and Houston definitley took the brunt of the storm. I'll check back as I can charge my laptop. Hopefully we'll hear from Lee. Wish me luck getting my water back. I can deal without power, but water to flush toilets is pretty key.
