Default Here comes Peter Cottontail...

...hopping around in my yard everyday

This little guy and another cutie seem to like it here. They don't even run when I bring the dogs out anymore

I have so many rabbits in my yard. I don't what to do with them. Between them, the 15 or so deer in the yard everyday. I can't keep a plant outside.

We used to live in an area where deer and rabbits were plentiful. I used blood meal to control the damage. Some plants like roses, tulips and tomatoes needed frequent applications. Very fine grained worked the best and it had to be reapplied after a rain and about every two weeks for most things. What kind of dogs do you have Sue? The rabbits don't even run? Amazing.

I have a Boxer named Samantha and a Boston Terrier named Lucas. Luke is still a puppy so he's on a leash when I let them out and Sammi doesn't leave the area she's supposed to be in...they have designated "relief" areas

If one of them catches a glimpse of the rabbits, I say "Leave him alone" and they turn away I'm sure there are many more critters out there but these two rabbits have made themselves known

If they are in season, get a hunting license. Unless that group of deer and rabbits are an anomaly where you are, weeding them out will be doing an ecological service. That and think of the culinary value.
Mmmm... pan-fried rabbit and roasted venison.

On a less death-filled note, there were about 3 of these guys (unless the owl got them all already) living around our house.

Aweeeee babies!!!!!!!!! I love baby bunnies. I can't wait until I have a house someday and have bunnies, until they eat my garden and I won't love them so much anymore, I guess. That last photo is so precious though, with his lounging feet!!!

Baby bunnies are adorable. I have two geriatric Mini Rex rabbits. They manufacture great compost for the garden.
