Default Stinging Nettle

Got some of this blasted stuff on my hand today - anyone have a good cure for the burn?

I have heard to pee on it! I'll try other remedies first.

Alcohol works well, just that it will welt a bit but settle down. My mother would find the nettle exit wound "hole" usually in the middle of the eruption and make an "X" with her fingernail...not sure if this does anything but make it hurt just a bit always seemed to help..lol. Pee-Pee, I don't think so...not an option. My neighbor also used clear nail polish. So many remedies but which one will work..dunno. The nettle is bothersome, that I can relate.

Stinging Nettle Male
Default I had seen something on TV at one time about

something that would help. Apparently, there is a plant that grows right in the same area as the stinging nettles that looks like a begonia. the thing is that you rub it over the affected area. This reminds me of a buddy of mine that likes to hike at a local park that is kind of off the beaten path. He showed up at the house one day when we were supposed to hike. He was wearing shorts! I asked him if he was crazy and he told me that he was not allergic to poison ivy. I would always wear long pants if I was going to do something like that, but, to each their own. In any case, we were walking along the riverbank and sure enough, we ran into a bunch of stinging nettles. Before it was all over, I thought he was going to jump in the Sangamon River! Apparently, the nettles cause of itching was the fact that it contains sulfuric acid (I believe) We had to pass through a field on the way back that had really long weeds and in the process of going through them, he lost the itch. To this day, he always wears long pants.

I myself encountered stinging nettle since the last time I posted on this thread. I took it to collect it for my herbarium. I don't remember it being to bad. Ofcourse, I barely handled it. And I remember the itch went away in 5-10 minutes.
