Default TIBET - URGENT Help support the Dalai Lama Please

Hi,

I just signed an urgent petition calling on the Chinese government to respect human rights in Tibet and dialogue with the Dalai Lama. This is really important, and I thought you might want to take action:

Avaaz.org - The World in Action

After decades of repression, the Tibetans are sending out a global cry for change. Unrest is spreading across Tibet and neighbouring regions, and the Chinese regime is right now making a crucial choice between escalating repression or dialogue.

President Hu Jintao needs to hear that "Made in China" exports and the upcoming Olympics in Beijing will have the support of the world's people only if he chooses dialogue. But it will take an avalanche of global people power to get his attention. Click below to sign the petition--in just 7 days, the campaign is over half way to the goal of 2 million signatures!

Avaaz.org - The World in Action

Thank you so much for your help - forward this email to friends!

I've heard that several Chineese and foreigners have been burned to death, and beatings reminiscent of the LA Riots are occuring etc.. by the Tibetans. Dialogue, I think is the only way to go for both sides.

"....and beatings reminiscent of the LA Riots..."

And you're a member of Jeremiah Wright's church I presume? What kind of un-American statement is it to compare America to China? It's fine to criticize American actions. I do it regards the Iraq war as do many others. But comparing us to China!! I think that's over the top, don't you!

I was not comparing the United States to the Chineese government. I was comparing the actions of the people of Tibet to the actions of the People of the US. Lets face it, people are people, and everyone performs the same crimes atrocities and everyone feels the same anger and compasion and you find the same kind of heroism left and right. All I'm saying is that beating innocent by standers and burning them to death is not the correct way to ask the world to back them up.

OOOh! I see. You were comparing the actions of a captive people to the actions of Americans who are free to go about their every day activities and to criticize their government for a redress of their grievances. You are waaaaaaay off base on this thing and I suggest you quit digging deeper.

I'm not one of these love it or leave guys, but I think your outrageous, false accusations deserve the most aggressive reaction possible. I wouldn't suggest putting your statements on a sign and going to bass tournament or a NASCAR race.

It might be "out of the way"(whatever that means)in Switzerland. I don't know. But it's un American here and that's where he and I are located. Maybe you would prefer he compare China to Switzerland.

Ever been to China, Ramon? Ever seen manufacturing sites surrounded by 10 foot walls with razor wire on top where people work six 10 hr days a week and are not free to leave on the 7th day? I've never seen that in the United States. If someone else has please let me know.

I'm offended by these statements because they portray a completely untrue picture of my country on an international message board. Don't give this please crap. I'm mad as hell about this guy's statements.
