Does this discount apply only to the main software, or does it work for the annual maintenance and update plan?

Since I finally found an after school job (so now have a little money to splurge) I was thinking of getting the maintenance plan to keep my Orchidwiz up to date. I love Orchidwiz, it's the best orchid resource I've ever seen!

The annual maintenance plan is the smartest way to go, Camille. If you compare what the costs of the quarterly updates (but you don't have to get every one) and the program upgrade, the plan is way less expensive

Exactly what I was thinking. If I do get it I have to get it quick, before the next version of Orchidwiz comes out (whenever that is!). I just wanted to know if it was possible to get the 20% off on the annual plan as well.

As far as I know, the discount has always been for the program only

Yes, discount is for the program only. I don't think they discount the updates.

Oh well. I have to hurry up and decide if I get it, since I saw on Facebook that Alex is rolling out Orchidwiz 5.03 in March. After that it's too late for the maintance plan!
