Arrow When posting in the forums...

please be sure you are choosing the forum pertaining to your subject.

I understand that many folks are not totally at ease when posting their inquiries but if you post something new in the middle of somebody else's thread, it's bound to get lost and many of us won't see them...or be able to offer any assistance if that's what you're looking for...or enjoy your good news if that's what you're showing us

Another problem that has been coming up lately is folks posting pictures in the Project Galleries. Please choose Member Galleries as a destination when posting pics of anything other than OB Project plants.

If you ever have questions about where something should go, please feel free to contact Dorothy or myself and we'll help you with it.

Thanks...have a great day!

I tried to send a private message to Dorothy, but was told I could not. Perhaps because she was offline at the moment???

My observation and a question: The classified section has been a god-send. I have been able to buy, sell, and trade with people who have the same growing standards as I do. Is there any chance this will be extended beyond May? It doesn't seem as if it's being abused, or anything. In fact, it seems underused. from my perspective.

If not, how does one accumulate 'credits' so that they can still use the classified area?
Sorry for the newbie questions.

Thanks in advance for your answers,
Lisa (Cruetsonly)
I didn't know where to post this. I won't feel bad if you have to move it.

Default Enabling Others to Receive Your PM or Email

When sending a Private Message (PM) or Email
You have to enable your PM or Email to the person you wish to receive it.
There are 2 ways to do this. ( See attachment)
A - Go to the 'Additional Options' area below the PM or Email entry screen ( the area where you type in your message)
B - Find the 'Allow Replies from Non-buddies' option. ( Red Arrow #1 )
Here are 2 ways to enable this -
First way is to check off the box (purple arrow #2)
This will enable this PM or Email to be sent but only this PM or Email at this time.
OR
You can add the person to your buddy list (Blue arrow #3) and that person will be permanently enabled so you don't have to check off the box every time you send them a PM or Email.
--------------------------------------------------------
I am open to PMs and Email from the Orchidboard.

Lisa - try this and if it doesn't work .. let me know

Lisa - Yes, you can post any classified ad whenever you like .
The May sale was done to expose and stimulate classified usage.
It has allowed members to familiarize themselves with this new format.
It is open to members as long as the OB exists.

This is the prefect place to post this

NOTE TO ALL MEMBERS-

Please remember that the OB encourages you to post your photographs.

We discourage the posting of other people's photographs from other websites

but you can post a link to the site to view those photos.

Thank you.
