Yes I think unfortunately this includes outlook.com as well

I don't even get the emails so cannot fwd them to anyone at Hotmail to investigate.
Marty has contacted our hosted server provider to request this is unblocked.

We believe it has happened because we are sending out so many emails every day and a lot bounce because people have changed email address and not updated their account here.

Marty has not had time in the past to keep on top of all the bounce back emails (there are a LOT every single day) and since he was very ill earlier this year he wasn't able to monitor them at all. This is why I have just taken over monitoring the email that our forum receives. Believe me there is an almost overwhelming volume of it. It was in reviewing it that I discovered this problem with hotmail and other Microsoft based email accounts.

Some email providers see someone sending out lots of messages, many of which are going to accounts that don't exist, as being spammers. We have never had the server hijcked but it doesn't need to be when we send out so much mail every day, something that spammers also do.

Marty has put in the requests to have Microsoft based accounts unblock us, but we are helpless to do anything else, other than reduce the number of bounce backs we get.

This is why I have asked some members I've identified as having changed email addresses to update their account with the new details (thanks everyone who has done that so far ) and I am asking those who have hotmail to either change their setting to not get notifications (so the server no longer tries to mail them) or if they want to get notifications (while we wait for Microsoft to unblock us) to use another account if they have one.

Hotmail Email Addresses not getting notifications Male

One thing I've noticed... I used to get new post updates from Orchid Board to my Gmail account both in my regular inbox, and in what Google segregates as the Updates tab. I could never figure out how Google decided what to display where. Now they are only showing up in my main inbox.

I've never worked out how Gmail does that either. If you want it to I think you can set up a rule in Gmail that if it comes from us it goes to updates.

We have changed email address our notifications are coming from. They still come from @OrchidBoard.com but the beginning bit has changed. I wonder if Gmail hasn't recognised the new one as an update yet.
