Can someone tell me how tapatalk works? I don't want to pay for the app, then decide I don't like it.

It's pretty much like here, except you cannot load pictures or access some things like your orchid list and the OCD. Otherwise, it's pretty much the same - just in a different layout for easier viewing on the phone.

It is a great little app. It gives you 85-90% of the functionality of the OB in a very minimalist, easy to navigate format. You can post, read posts, upload photos (with ease), edit posts, read only the new posts, check in on your subscribed threads, etc. Best of all, it's fast and REALLY EASY. If you've ever tried to navigate the OB on an iPhone, its slow and cumbersome and the text never quite fits right in the screen, so you're always resizing or sliding the frame around. All that is a thing of the past with taptalk.

I miss having mobile access and can't wait for it to get up and running again

Ray - let me know if you have any specific question about functionality, I can still log in as a guest and check if certain things can / can't be done.

WOW, you can load pictures? I haven't found that portion yet. I'll have to look once it comes back online.

Yeah - that's one of the handiest features! You have to be logged in to do it (you can't do it if you're lurking as a guest). Theres a little bar at the bottom of the post window - you click it and then you have the option to either load a pic from your photo album or to take a pic with the camera and load it directly. It's really handy for a quick post while you're heading out the door.
