Overhere they are grown in cool conditions in moist sphagnum.

The MUST have cold conditions to thrive.
Who put up that display and where? I rarely see big Disa collections. I'm on the hunt for bartholina and disa people are always a good way to go.

The display was in New Plymouth, New Zealand, where there are several growers.

I wouldn't have thought you'd want to grow them much colder than USDA zone 9. They gow well in Melbourne if you want an idea of acceptable seasonal temperatures.
