Heard of Mediocalar decorata?

At the Fall Orchid Fair, I was looking for some minatures, and came across a tiny plant. It was not in bloom and still hasn't. Probobly too young, I dont know. The leaves are tiny and there are tiny roots stretching out as if it likes to climb. The tag reads, "Mediocalar decorats (New Ginea). I have typed it into my search engine and had no results. It was in the vendor's species section. I have no idea what it is, but it is planted in spagnum moss and I was told it likes bright light, kept moist, repoted yearly or to mount. Does anyone know what exactly it is or any tips on care? What do the flowers look like? I do like surprises, but curiosity kills me. However, I dont want to kill it!

Technically a miniature, but it will form a mat the size of a dinner plate pretty quickly if you grow it right. We have two growers in our society who grow it right.

As far as I can tell, they grow it in a shallow clay or plastic saucer. This saucer sits elevated a bit over a larger saucer which always holds a bit of water. Imagine a little bonsai island in a pond.

I have grown this one for a couple of years from a very small seedling. I put it in a small teak basket, keep it cool and water it liberally. It has pretty much grown over the side of the basket and probably needs to be planted into a bulb pan. The blooms are very small, but are produced profusely. A good sized plant is covered in blooms.

The saucer sounds interesting. Well it is still alive and appears happy in that little potter with the moss, but I am considering on mounting it to a hunk of oak. Hopefully it will live to see a bloom.

that it is sitting in the smaller saucer and that the larger saucer that contains the water is just providing it with humidity?
