I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Hello Everyone,
I said I would never grow orchids. Bought two online and a couple more in a nursery. 4 now and reading how best to take care of them.
My orchids spent the upper Michigan summer outdoors, last night the temperature was 35, so tonight after work my orchids will be going to the basement under my grow lights. I hope I get the water issue right.
So far this summer one orchids has bloomed. It was my Vanda, sorry no picture, I know that is a sin! Not taking a picture.
Today I am getting this bright idea, how can I combine a 55 gallon aquarium and have the orchids sitting on top of the tank to get the humidity they need.
My plan for the loooong winter season up here is to bring color into my home with fish and flowers.
Have any of you set up some kind of system with an aquarium or a terrarium to help give orchids the environment they need?
Good to find this site
Vivienne
