TELIPOGON HAUSMANNIANUS - Orchid Board

This Telipogon is very strange in NATUR.... But in my house it grows very happy... I THINK!!! The last year it blooms only one flower with a leave... Now it looks strong and has 10 flowers ... enjoy it...

Aren't these hard to grow? How do you grow them?

Many people like them here in the US, but can't seem to find any reliable supply of them.

From what I've heard they're reputedly very difficult to grow because supposedly they naturally grow in very high altitude wet cloud forests.

Then again, people said Disas were hard to grow, and they haven't given me problems yet.

I allways heard that growing tellis is very difficult.... but I don´t have any problems with my two plants. The last year I bought this plants in a town near Quito in a cloud forest in altitude about 2400 -2600m...
The plant grows very very slowly.... this year it becomes only one leave... but it has 10 flowers....
But I think the last year the only one flower was bigger... anyway I love TELLIS and I´m searching this strange specie...

I have some Telipogons on their way to me. Intresting to see that you grow them in pots!
What material do they grow in and what temperatures and humidity does it have?

Hi, yes my tellipogons grow fine in small pots... they look healthy I think that.... The material in the spots: TOP SECRET

.... Sustrat + Spaghnum.... and they grow outside 12-22ºC, allways shade and high air circulation, watering twice a week and fertilizing once....

It is a beautiful plant you have there Betoguerrero. I have 4 flasks of a Telipogon growing in my wardian case at 22c. I dont know what species though as it was unidentified and no photo. Fingers crossed it is this one, which I would love to own too.
