Default Bletilla formosana in situ

Early summer is the season of Bletilla formosana. In Taiwan, the species can be found from sea level to the elevation about 1000 meters. The wild groups dwell on slope where they receive considerable sunlight.

Rai
They are not kin to each other.
But in Taiwan, both genus exist in the wild. Bletilla formosana can be found all over this island while Spathoglottis plicata is restricted to southeast Taiwan. But nowadays, the latter is commonly grown and can be seen everywhere. We seldom grow Bletilla formosana because the wild plants can easily been seen even along the country roads.

Blooms of the wild or cultivated plants I have ever seen are pink-colored. I 've never seen other color version.
