Default Some "color changing" orchids

Probably my favorite feature of an orchid, aside from their fragrance, is when they change colors with age...it's like two different flowers on the same plant!

Photos 1 & 2: Burrageara Nelly Isler
The first photo was taken the first day it was open, the second, taken a few days later...I just love the reds and pinks in this one! Delicious sweet fruity fragrance on this one, too!

Photos 3 & 4: Dendrobium NOID
I've actually had this one a couple years and this is it's third flowering, but it just keeps getting better. This year the flowers are larger and have a very light hyacinth fragrance that I've never noticed before! First photo is the first day open, second, and few days later. Eventullay there will be no trace of green in the petals at all...just solid white.

You're right, Ethan, it is fun. My Gerbera Snow Ballet is in bloom right now, with pink and white flowers.

Ethan, this doesn't show it up too well, but the unopend bud shows how dark the blooms are when they first open.

Kim, that's gorgeous!!! Great job! I'm not familiar with Gerbera...is that a species or an intergeneric hybrid?

It's a hybrid between Dial. Snowflake and Bl. Richard Mueller.
