This Phaio has been taking over the living room, growing like a weed. So feeling guilty about ignoring it needing to be repotted, I snatch it out of it's pot, had to trim a few escaped roots, okay lots of them. I stuff more moss into a much larger pot and tamp it in, water it, and regard with satisfaction the phaio in it's new home. Hmmmm, what is this? It has a spike with a bud on it! What have I done to you, poor baby? Perhaps it will bloom anyway. I feel lucky.

Okay Wanda, here is my abused baby. I have repotted this thing three times already! Remember when Hausermann's was having a sale? This thing was one of my purchases. I am really hoping it does go ahead and bloom.

The plant looks sooo healthy. I just googled it to see the flower and it's GORGEOUS.

Please post a pic when she flowers ok.

I sure will. Hope she does flower after I so cruelly plucked her out of her pot. Some name, huh? It was easier to post a pic this time. Things just keep improving on here.

Well she looked very happy to me. Maybe the move around didn't affect her at all. Let's just keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best

She'll be fine! I always repot (including cutting roots) budding, even blooming, chids and have never had a problem

Orchids are much more resilient than we give them credit for

Hi Quiltingwacko,

All of your plants pictured here look happy and healthy.
I'm hopeful that you have not done harm to your plant, and that it will bloom for you. I look forward to seeing the pic of the bloom when the time comes.
