Ok - not a challenge to bloom, but I got a good
picture of it.

Nice picture! Do you have a shot of the whole plant? I love Ludisia discolor in bloom, there's such a contrast between the leaves and the blooms

I'll try and take one - it'll be tricky though with
the 18" flowerstalk!

Very nice! Actually it can be tricky to grow and bloom if your growing area isn't warm enough. So I say great growing to you. I gave one of these to a couple of my clients and they both ended up killing them over the winter...trying to save money on heat, they turned the thermostat too low and both plants died.

Didn't know that - good to know! Its been blooming
regularly for me - tolerating a lot of neglect. Two years
ago my son accidently knocked the pot down (ceramic).
One plant turned into 8. Each division bloomed the
next year and has again this year.

That is a nice picture. Did it ever open up all the way for you?? Mine has been in full bloom for a few weeks now and is still going strong.

Thanks. Yes - it opened up a few days after that
shot and the two-three flower stalks are still going.
Funny - don't remember the blooms lasting this long
the last time it bloomed.
