Default Spathoglottis (yellow)

I just picked this up at living color nursery. I have not seen the yellow variety before. It's very tall around 4ft to the top of the inflorescence.

Ooh! That's lovely, Dave. What a great, cheerful yellow that is. And ditto on Royal's statement! I don't want my minis to see me looking at this thread, they may get very jealous.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

You did not mention a name on this one?? It is probably gracilis. We have one that has been in flower for months now. They of coarse bloom sequentially, so you should be able to enjoy it for quite some time. Nice plant

This looks a lot like my Spa. kimballiana var antiquensis. This thing blooms non-stop! Mine presently has over twenty spikes on it....and they just keep comin'!

Dave,
That's mislabeled. Jasen is right, its a kimballiana. Read my article on spathoglottis in AOS september issue. There are 2 kimballianas. Check out the lip.
