Thanks Royal. I'm working on part 2 right now. Will spaths grow outdoors in Texas? Is it commonly used in landscapes?

Yes, they do well here - but our winter temps get too low to use them as landscape plants. As potted plants they do great! Again, very nice article - great photos too!

Here ya go Dave, this is how it blooms when it gets bigger! Everywhere....it's the one on the right. The one on the left is Spa. unguiculata 'Grapette'. They say full sun, but mine do just fine in about 60%.spathoglottis-yellow-2008_0906xmas0026.jpg

Yes, mine are still potted cuz I've got them in the greenhouse. My yard is already full...no more room!
