Default Gastrochilus obliquus

Gastrochilus obliquus is very similar in appearance to somai. I think the plant is a bit smaller, and the flower stems have less flowers. My photos show two stems, and the two together have less flowers than the one somai I posted last week. Still, it's utterly amazing.

I grow mine hanging above Phals where they get Phal light, and the humidity is never below 50%. As with my other mounted orchids, I water them at least twice daily, more heavily when growing or blooming. Temperature can range from a low of about 60 winter nights to a high of about 90 summer days.

Thank you. I have to confess that I used my camera phone for these two.

Beautiful little plant. I'm itching to get a few Gastrochilus, I love this genus with its clusters of flowers.
