Signs of light stress in Lepanthes gargoyla?
Default Signs of light stress in Lepanthes gargoyla?

I've gotten a nice, healthy L. gargoyla from Andy's Orchids recently, and I've had to put it higher in the terrarium than I originally intended, as I hadn't quite realized how pendant the leaves are and what long stems they're on. It's in one of the brighter spots in the terrarium.

Since its leaves are already a fairly dark purple, how do I tell if the bright light is a problem for it? A nearby phal. equestris was reddening up slightly before I moved the light over, but I don't know what "help, this is too bright" looks like on an orchid that comes purple.

I grow this but I am not sure what the signs are for too much light or how much light these can tolerate as I have never experimented with mine. I would recommend giving Andy a call. He would have the answers you need.
