It looks great. I wish international orchid shipping were not so impossible, so that I can't share... Along with orchid growers, you might find this online at a nursery that sells more "exotic" garden plants - I know that in the US there is a website for a nursery like that, which has a better selection of Bletillas than the ones that focus on orchids.

When I bought this one they didn't have any purple available so I brought this one.
But the last time I went to that place, two weeks ago, there were some but I brought two Pleiones instead.
For 4 € each they won't get away from me.

Very nice. I've tried them outside on a shaded patio. When it reached the 45C / 113 F range they died. Our nights are also hot during that time of year, often over 85 F / 31C for several weeks.

If the area where they are being grown is at a temperature of around 45 C/ 113 F they will not survive, but they can still be grown in areas where the ambient outdoor temperatures are around 37.8 C/100 F to 43.3 C/110 F as long as the microenvironment is cooler.

If temperatures soar that high, try growing indoors or under a tree where it can still get moderately bright indirect light during the summers. Get yourself a cheap digital thermometer with a probe for no more than $5 and measure the local temperature of a particular grow area you might think has suitable lighting. If the temperature is no more than 35 F/95 F, they should be ok.

Thanks. This is Phoenix. Once daytime temperatures go up for the spring (now) days will not be under 100 F / 38C until early November. During June, July and August they will be 110 F / 43C plus. We get 10-20 days of 115 F / 46C plus every year. I can't grow this plant outside during the summer.

I have considered growing it in my evaporatively-cooled sunroom. I may try that next year.
