disa bracteata & woodii Male
Default disa bracteata & woodii

i am trying to find these guys for sale... tracking the people who wrote books on how to grow them, I asked Hildegard and Michael Tibbs, the reason for choosing these two is that the woodii grows in the area where I live so it would be easier to grow, and bracteata because it grows like a week in Australia- where the tmeps is the same as Pta.

any extra care would be appreciated

I was hoping for pictures of their blooms! Someday, hopefully. Good luck finding them!

I've grown Disa bracteata before. It is not the easiest Disa to cultivate, but I believe it is possible.

I've only had this thing grow twice for me, but never bloom.

I have yet to figure out how to get them to bloom.

This species is very slow growing for something so invasive.

They grow in gravel or grit.

If you can find Disa sagittalis, you're better off with this species. This one is a stronger grower. I've gotten very close to blooming this species. I have yet to find the magic touch for this, but I'm getting there.

Not only does the mother plant grow well, it produces a ridiculous amount of offshoots very, very quickly in the same growing season.
