Hi all , here is my thunia gattonensis. I really don't know why I love this orchid so much. Unsual culture requiements? Lovely flowers? Its fragrance? I guess all. Sadly flowers don't last very. I would highly recommend . Great in an orchid collection . Sorry it is difficult to see its colour against white background.

Thank you , it is like a deciduous dendrobium however its canes lasts only 2 years. No drop of water from October until March . Keep it somewhere cool. When the new growth emerges from the base of the plant . You start giving water a little as the new growths are delicate and can rot easily. When it is about 2 inch , they heavy water and fertlizer.bright light bit not direct sunlight. Sometimes it does produces keike like plants.

It's clearly very pretty, but I think you love it cause that you have risen to the complex challenge of growing it well, and that says a lot about you!

I, for one.....would not even try.
