I love them too! I have some that I have had for years, but they haven't bloomed. This year I decided to try giving them the same treatment as my vandas [except for high light] and I'm hoping to get blooms. I have one that is huge! I've been keeping it in the basket with my vanda over the winter. I think it likes it.

I thought that they would burn in hiogh light! I tried daily misting before, and killed them that way. The lady I bought them from said to mist every few days, and soak every so often with weak fertilizer. Now they are getting fertilized with my vanda, and they love it. We have really good humidity here in the winter, but in summer I mist often.

I grow mine under high fluorescent light and mist every other day. One's about to bloom again - I'll post pics when it does!

How often do you fertilize?
I will try higher light. I want to get some lighting for next winter. It is very dull here during the winter, and I'm finding that plants that would have bloomed during the winter in Ontario [like bouganvilla] wait until now to start, here on Vancouver Island.

We retired here almost 2 years ago. We absolutly love it! You wouldn't believe how green it is during the winter. There are so many kinds of mosses and plants such as ferns that stay green!
