In my gallery there's an album called Wild Orchids. I just checked, it's still there!

I love the Calypso in your album, it has a really nice shape and color. We don't have any of those here, as far as I am aware.

The Calypso grows only in western North America. It is locally abundant but not always easy to find. We know one trail in the North Cascades where it blooms in May- June and try to get there every year to see it. I found your album and enjoyed the pictures.

I think that it is beautiful, no matter what it is. I love seeing flowers in their native conditions, and your photo caught this one just right.
