This is a nice little bog orchid from the SE US. It's almost certainly not winter hardy here, and unlike most bog orchids, this one needs shaded conditions. But while I can't grow them outside year round, they're pretty easy as houseplants. Keep them wet with low mineral content water, don't put them in direct sun and don't let them freeze, and they do well. The flowers are quite small, maybe 3/8" across, 10mm for folks who think like that:

not a carnivore, but might be a good companion plant? is it too vigorous to put with a sundew in a micro bog (2') or will it take it over too fast

Sounds like it would be if it does not need fertilizer.

It would be a good choice for growing with the 3 Sisters complex of Drosera, D. adelae, prolifera and schizandra, since unlike other Drosera they also prefer the shady conditions that P. racemosa requires. It does form clumps readily, but it doesn't spread aggressively.
