Default bletilla striata stalling

my Bletilla striata sprouted really early this year (december-ish) because it was sitting next to the vent and i guess the hot air tricked into thinking it was time to send out new growths... but now it's stalling and not doing anything. i understand that it's pretty early and that they may just need to wait, but i don't see any new leaves emerging as of now and i'm starting to doubt the current leaves are going to get any bigger...

should i be worried? should i fertilize? i'm not sure what to do (except wait)...

ps: the browning leaf is last year's growth which never died back till now (i only got it last summer)

It happened to my Bletilla too, although not so advanced as yours. We had warmer weather last Nov. so they started to sprout. Now they are just sitting there and doing nothing.

What I have been doing is giving it occasional sprays just to keep the soil moist. They are outside in a south balcony, getting whatever it comes to them.

I'll just keep an eye at them and when temps start to rise to Spring values I'll water it normally.

I don't even cut back water particularly on my Bletillas - the ones that do best are in the ground, so they get watered with the landscape plants and rained upon. I wouldn't worry about their "stalling" ... it's still pretty early for them, so they will do what they do until it's really spring (I suspect that day length is also a factor along with temperature)
